I make oboe reeds for a living. The knife is, by far, the most important tool in making reeds, and I am VERY particular. I have used all of the major brands at one time or another, in my search for the perfect reed knife. My search is over. This excellent little piece of steel just feels "right," from the very first scrape. It sharpens well (holds a small, clean burr easily), and stands up to both rough and fine scraping.
